Faculty MR Physicist Position (Research Track) at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology
Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) invites inquiries from outstanding Ph.D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) physicists for a non-tenure track faculty position, academic rank commensurate with experience. This individual should be interested in providing research support, collaborating with others, and in performing own research. This individual will have both an academic position in the Neuroimaging Laboratory and a service role in providing support to investigators with research studies in the MIR Center for Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR) and East Building MR Facilities. MRI scanners in these facilities include three 3T Siemens Prisma scanners, a 3T Siemens Vida scanner, and a Siemens mMR PET/MRI scanner. This individual will report Hongyu An, Ph.D., Associate Director of the CCIR. A Siemens MR physicist is also on site.

Skill set needed includes:
Ability to program MRI pulse sequences
Familiarity with Siemens MRI and PET/MRI data acquisition and image reconstruction
Ability in image analysis
Familiarity with MRI safety
Ability to setup and test imaging protocols for facility users
Ability to train research personnel on imaging physics and MR pulse sequences
Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
