Physician Scientists

The Division of Lab and Genomic seeks to fill tenure track openings for physician scientists at all levels including Assistant Professor. The job duties include building and maintaining a first-class nationally and internationally recognized research laboratory that interfaces productively with others in the Division, within the Department, and throughout the School of Medicine. Additional activities include mentorship of trainees and other faculty as appropriate, teaching in graduate and medical school, serving on thesis committees and performing other services within the group that sustain a high level of excellence and leadership.

The Department: The Department of Pathology & Immunology excels in basic and clinical research as well as delivery of outstanding surgical pathology and laboratory medicine services to our patients and colleagues. There are four divisions: Immunobiology, Laboratory and Genomic Medicine, Anatomic and Molecular Pathology, and Neuropathology. (http://pathology.wustl.edu/)

The School: U.S. News & World Report ranks WUSM among the top five in the nation and first in academic selectivity. Eighteen Nobel laureates have trained, taught, or carried out research here. Thirteen faculty members are fellows of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences, and 24 belong to its Institute of Medicine. Medical degree

Ideal candidates will preferably be at the Assistant Professor level
