The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking applicants for PEM Board Certified/board eligible for work in the Emergency Department at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and a suburban community hospital (Northwest Healthcare). 

Washington University School of Medicine ranks among the top medical schools in the country, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital is also nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare. The 390-bed pediatric hospital includes a 41 bed pediatric ICU, a 38 bed heart center, and a 125 bed neonatal ICU. The hospital offers comprehensive services in every pediatric and medical subspecialty, serving a diverse patient population in the St. Louis metropolitan area and primary service region covering six states. The Emergency Department provides care for 50,000 children each year, and the hospital has achieved Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center designation by the American College of Surgeons, as well as the States of Missouri and Illinois.  

The Department of Pediatrics provides a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment for clinical practice, education and investigation, with unique opportunities for inter- and intra-departmental collaborations.
