Research Instructor - WU Pain Center

The Washington University Pain Center in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine invites applications for a research-track junior faculty position at the level of Instructor. The ideal candidate has five or more years of post-graduate training in pain research and optogenetics. Expertise in pain behavior, in vivo electrophysiology from awake, freely behaving animals, and optogenetic and chemogenetic approaches are critical. Successful candidates will have a strong publication history and be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully compete for external funding. Proficiency in in vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, immunohistochemistry, and behavioral pharmacology are prerequisites.
