Faculty Medical Physicist

The Dept. of Radiation Oncology at Washington University in St. Louis, located in St. Louis, Missouri seeks medical physicists to specialize in the measurement & delivery of radiation. Responsible for the overall safety & accuracy of the treatment machines & for the treatment-planning computers used to determine the beam arrangements. Assist the radiation oncologist with additional calculations, measurements or design of special treatment aids. Check initial treatment plan & treatment machine monitor unit calculations. Provide weekly continuing quality assurance checks to make sure treatment is delivered accurately. Teach and provide instruction to medical physicists residents.

Qualified applicants with a Masters Physical Science and either 36 months of requisite exp or completion of CAMPEP medical physicists residency program
