This is a crucial leadership position within the Division and the Department, as well as an exciting career opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic individual. The Division provides perioperative anesthesia care for all types of orthopaedic cases, including hip and knee replacements (~2,500/year), elbow and shoulder replacements (~300/year), complex spine operations (~500/year), and ortho trauma cases (~1,500/year). Washington University is a level 1 trauma center and a referral center for orthopaedic oncology specializing in limb salvage techniques.

The ideal candidate will be an anesthesiologist experienced in both general and regional anesthesia with demonstrated achievements in clinical, educational and/or research innovation.
