Pediatric Endocrinology Physician-Scientist
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking a full time physician-scientist to join our team. Washington University and the Department of Pediatrics have a longstanding history of major contributions to the field of diabetes-related research. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join our Pediatric Diabetes Consortium and take advantage of ample opportunity for robust collaboration across the Department and Medical school.
Board certified/board eligible physician-scientist with fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology. Applicants completing fellowship training in 2017 will be considered.
Training and experience in basic science research with application to type 2 diabetes (broadly defined) is preferred. Applicants joining at the rank of instructor will be expected to develop a robust independent research program within 3-5 years of initial appointment. Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed scientific publication and prior grant support is desired.
