We are looking for an experienced metbaolomics scientist to support work on federally funded research projects investigating unique metabolic aspects of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The position is funded by the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology and the candidate will be located within the laboratory of Stephen Sykes in the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. This individual will be dedicated to federally funded projects investigating the role of one-carbon metabolism in AML as well as on the discovery of previously unrecognized metabolic pathways that support the pathogenesis of AML. Additionally, this individual will supervise 2 positions associated with these projects. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; preparing and submitting funding proposals, manuscript writing, the mentoring of post-doctoral research fellows, residents, graduate students and undergraduates that enter the laboratory, data oversight and the maintenance of laboratory notebooks, reagents and archives.
